Faux Bob/Chignon How To

One of the hottest trends in 2012 is to tie up your long locks into a faux bob & chignon (also known as a low bun). The messy, red carpet worthy style is worth the effort. Follow a few simple steps to achieve this great look like Rachel Bilson and Amy Adams.

 

1. Towel dry hair and spray roots with Redken Rootful spray; blow dry smooth with a round brush and

2. Curl 1″ pieces of hair, add Pureology Dry Shine to the pieces for additional texture and hold.

4. Divide hair into 3 sections (left, middle, and right), secure the middle section into a pony tail using a hair tie, twist the pony tail into a messy knot tuck the end into the hair tie and secure with bobby pins, this is the chignon.

5. Pull the two other curled sections back and flip pieces under, also securing them with bobby pins and creating a faux bob. Spray the style with Redken Quick Dry setting spray.
